Josh Peck Reveals The Radiant Name He Chose for Baby No. 3
There’s a little more light in the world today for Josh Peck.
The Drake & Josh alum and his wife, Paige O’Brien, announced the arrival of their third child on July 3. “Meyer Lane, we love you we love you,” the couple captioned a photo of their newborn. While they didn’t share the inspiration behind the name, Meyer traditionally stems from the Hebrew name Meir, meaning “giving light” or “illuminating.”
And it’s a fitting name, as baby Meyer has brought joy and light not only to his parents, but to plenty of friends and fans too. “Omg hi Meyer! You’re the cutest and you have the best mama there is. (And OMG Paige LOVE the name!),” wrote Kelly Rizzo, podcaster and wife of the late Bob Saget. Vanderpump Rules star Kristen Doute added, “Meyer Lane! Your girlfriend Kaia has been waiting for you. I love you.” Josh’s former Drake & Josh co-star Drake Bell chimed in with a teary-eyed emoji, while his Good Guys podcast co-host Ben Soffer added, “Such a cutie!”
Peck and O’Brien first revealed they were expecting baby No. 3 with a cheeky Instagram post on February 3. “I finally get a minivan. #3,” he captioned a black-and-white mirror selfie, proudly cradling O’Brien’s baby bump.
The couple welcomed their second child, son Shai Miller Peck, in October 2022, following the birth of their firstborn, Max Milo, in December 2018.
Peck opened up about adding a third child to the family on his Good Guys podcast with dad-to-be Ben Soffer (@boywithnojob) as well. “Paige is pregnant!” he announced to an excited and surprised Soffer. “She’s been pregnant since October, but we didn’t want to say anything because you guys are having your first, and we didn’t want to take any attention away from you.” He added that, just like with their previous children, he and O’Brien plan to wait until the birth to find out baby No. 3’s sex.
“I know—I could cry. We’re both fathers. We are so lucky, Ben…Can you believe this? You and I, walking in tandem with strollers down Fifth Avenue,” Peck said. “We’re going to need a bus,” Soffer joked.
Josh Peck and Paige O’Brien first met in 2011 before getting engaged in 2016. The two tied the knot in June 2017.
