Wilmer Valderrama Welcomes Baby No. 2 with Bold, Animal-Inspired Name
A new star is lighting up Wilmer Valderrama’s world!
The That '70s Show star and his fiancée Amanda Pacheco announced the arrival of their second child together on July 19. “Wolf Monte Valderrama. 7/11/2025,” the couple captioned a series of black-and-white photos featuring their new family of four, including proud big sister Nakano Oceana.
Valderrama and Pacheco don’t shy away from unique names. While Wolf, a name of German origin, obviously draws connections to the powerful wilderness dweller, it’s also a symbol of freedom in many cultures. In 2021, Valderrama shared that his daughter Nakano’s name was inspired by a recent trip to Japan. After researching strong female warriors in Japanese history, the couple decided on Nakano in a nod to Takeko Nakano, a legendary samurai.
The couple first revealed they were expecting in February. According to Pacheco, Nakano was already manifesting her role as big sister well before the pregnancy was public. “Nakano was still the first one to know,” Pacheco told People. “She read it to Wilmer and I, and she has been shouting it from the mountaintops to every person who comes in her path: ‘I’m going to be a big sister!’”
Wolf made his arrival just in time as the actor wraps another season of NCIS. As Valderrama settles into life as a dad of two, he says fatherhood is the role that has transformed him most. “Like, you could in fact lift a car, if you had to. Personally, being a girl dad has been the most fulfilling feeling. As an artist, it has also fueled me to make sure she has so many stories in which she sees herself as the hero of her journey. All in all, I was born to be a dad.”
Valderrama and Pacheco, who were introduced by a mutual friend in 2019, made their relationship public later that year and got engaged on New Year’s Day in 2020.
