DJ Calvin Harris and Vick Hope Welcome Their First Baby Together
Calvin Harris is officially a dad!
The Grammy-winning DJ and music producer and his wife, beloved British TV and radio host Vick Hope, have welcomed their first child together. Harris shared the happy news on Instagram, writing, “20th of July our boy arrived. Micah is here,” alongside a photo of his newborn.
Micah is a gender-neutral name derived from the Hebrew mikha’el, meaning “Who is like the Lord?” It’s rooted in the biblical prophet Micah of Moresheth and has steadily grown in popularity since the 1950s, most recently ranking as the 133rd most popular name for boys and girls combined.
Harris also praised Hope in his Instagram caption. “My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful. We love you so much Micah,” he added.
The couple’s happy news first began swirling after Hope’s recent interview with actress Florence Pugh on BBC Radio 1. Eagle-eyed fans spotted Hope wearing a cream bodycon dress and gently cradling her stomach during the segment, which aired on April 28.
Shortly after the interview went live, Hope confirmed the speculation in a sweet and subtle way. She shared behind-the-scenes photos from recent career moments on Instagram, where her growing baby bump was clearly visible. In her Stories, she re-shared the post and playfully captioned it, “Lots going on lately.”
Congratulatory messages poured in from fans and friends alike, including fellow BBC Radio 1 co-hosts Jamie Laing and Katie Thistleton. Podcast host Elizabeth Day commented, “Congratulations. You look RADIANT AF,” while actress and author Laura Whitmore added, “She got the glow!”.
Though the couple tends to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, it’s been reported that they first met in the 2000s before reconnecting years later and getting engaged. They married in an intimate ceremony in northeast England in 2023.
