Megan Fox and MGK’s Unique Baby Name Has This Traditional Meaning
Machine Gun Kelly shared a sweet sneak peek of life with his newest addition on June 18—along with a big name reveal. “Saga Blade Fox-Baker,” he captioned a video of himself playing the ukulele and singing to his daughter as she rocked out in her bouncer. “Thank you for the ultimate gift @meganfox.”
The couple’s baby has a truly unique name, one that doesn’t appear in the top 10,000 most popular names in the US and has Scandinavian roots. Traditionally meaning “seeing one” or “prophet,” Saga is rooted in Norse mythology. In Old Norse legend, Saga was the goddess of history, prophecy and storytelling. Saga’s middle name, Blade, is equally distinctive and fits right in with Mom and Dad’s edgy vibe.
MGK first announced the arrival of his and Megan Fox’s first child together in an emotional post on March 27. “She’s finally here!! our little celestial seed. 3/27/25,” he captioned a black-and-white video showing him gently holding his newborn daughter’s hand and tenderly stroking her tiny fingers.
In a follow-up Instagram Story, Kelly revealed an intimate detail about the moment his daughter entered the world: “I composed the score of the birth. Born into 432 HZ,” he wrote over a video clip, adding, “What an epic journey. Praise God.” He went on to thank his creative collaborators, including Travis Barker.
Tuning music to 432 Hz is believed by some to promote feelings of peace, healing and connection. Often called the “natural frequency of the universe,” it’s often associated with a sense of harmony and grounding.
The 38-year-old actress and model announced her pregnancy on November 11 with a heartfelt post. “Nothing is ever really lost. Welcome back," she captioned a photo showcasing her bare bump covered in black oil, alongside a picture of her positive pregnancy test. While Fox didn’t explicitly confirm that her on-and-off partner, Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), is the father, she did tag him in the post, subtly suggesting so.
The surprise announcement follows a period of social media quiet for Fox, who had taken a step back from the spotlight after her appearance in MGK’s music video in July 2024. Her announcement caption hints at both hope and reflection, acknowledging past pregnancy losses.
Fox had previously shared her experience of miscarriage in her poetry book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, and opened up further in an interview with Good Morning America. "I’ve never been through anything like that in my life. I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately…trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?’” she revealed.
This is Fox’s fourth child and MGK’s second. Fox is already mom to sons Noah, 12, Bodhi, 10 and Journey River, 8, with her ex-husband, Brian Austin Green. MGK is dad to 15-year-old daughter Casie, whom he shares with ex-partner Emma Cannon.
