Supermodel Karlie Kloss Welcomes Baby Girl
Supermodel Karlie Kloss finally got her girl!
The i-D Magazine owner shared the arrival of her daughter on September 22. “Welcome to the world Rae Florence 9.18.25,” she captioned a black and white close up of her daughter grasping her finger. Rae a gender-neutral name of Hebrew orgin eludes to one who is favored most tenderly. Derived from the Hebrew Raḥel, Rae means “ewe” and refers to the adored wife of biblical patriarch Jacob. Her middle name Florence, comes from the word florentius, meaning “blossoming,” “flourishing,” and “prosperous.”
The supermodel revealed the big news that she would be welcoming a girl to the family on July 27. “Countdown to baby girl with my favorite boys,” she simply captioned maternity photos showing off her bump in a white henley and jeans. Rae Florence is her third child with husband Joshua Kushner, whom she married in October 2018. The couple already shared two boys, 4-year-old Levi and 2-year-old Eli.
The two first shared they were expecting another little one on March 14. “Three’s a party,” Kloss captioned black-and-white maternity images featuring the soon-to-be big brothers hugging as they both prepare for their new role.
Kloss has previously opened up about the physical and emotional changes that come with pregnancy, speaking candidly about learning to embrace her body. “I had a conversation with myself a while ago because I want to be in shape, but I also have more self-compassion—because my body created life,” she said during a Theragun event in 2023.
One of the biggest surprises for her? The toll pregnancy took on her posture. “Just being pregnant for nine months, I found my posture got so bad,” she admitted. “So now I’m relearning my whole anatomy and trying to fix it, straighten my back.”
