Though it’s easier to imagine generations as fitting cleanly into ten-year periods, the fact remains that generations are identified by the length of time it takes for children to become parents; aka, generation length fluctuates frequently. Besides the impact of Millennials and Gen Zers, the generation of Baby Boomers is probably the most well-known. This generation was one of history’s most direct responses to war, starting in 1946—World War II having ended in September of 1945. If you want baby’s name to have some ancestral flavor, consider a baby girl, boy, or gender-neutral name from the Baby Boomer generation.
