Scarlett

In literature, Hollywood, and the markets of time's past, the feminine name Scarlett has captured attention. Originally an English occupational last name, Scarlett described someone who made or sold clothes made of scarlet, a type of wool cloth. These clothes were often very vibrant, so it's no surprise that the word "scarlet" came to symbolize a bright red color.
