Creating a Registry Through The Bump? Start Here

Creating and managing a baby registry through The Bump has never been easier. See below for all the details.

How do I create a registry through The Bump?

Simply log into The Bump Registry, click on “Discover Registry Products” and you’re off to the races. From there, you can easily manage and personalize your registry to reflect your needs, as well as discover parent-approved lists to help inspire your own journey. You can also sync your registry on The Bump with one of our partner stores: Amazon, Target and Crate & Kids.

How do I add items to my registry from The Bump Shop?

Select “Discover Registry Products” to enter The Bump Shop. Use the sidebar to browse by category (from Top Picks to Toddler) or scroll down to find our parent-approved lists. To add an item, all you need to do is click “Add to Registry.” Your picks will automatically appear in your registry!

How do I add items to my registry from a retailer?

You can add items from partner retailers—Amazon, Target and Crate & Kids—to your registry. Once you’ve created your registry, click “Link An Existing Registry” and add your retailer’s registry link. Your items will sync with The Bump Registry within 24 hours. Within your registry, you’ll also be able to mark and unmark products as purchased, as well as override guests’ marks as purchased.

What if I have no idea where to start when making a baby registry?

You’re in luck! Not only did we instantly add must-have essentials to your registry so you can get a head-start, but we’ve built checklists for every important baby category so you never feel like you’re building from scratch. Plus, of course, we offer plenty of recommendations and community-approved lists from experts and real parents—so you know all the details about a product before you add it.

What benefits are available through The Bump’s registry partners?

There are lots of fun registry benefits available through our retail partners:

  • Amazon offers welcome freebies, a 15 percent completion discount, free returns for a year, free shipping for orders over $25, a gift card diaper fund and group gifting.
  • Target offers welcome freebies (over $100 value, in-store pickup), a 15 percent completion discount, free returns for a year, free shipping for orders over $35, one year of exclusive deals and group gifting.
  • Crate & Kids offers a 15 percent completion discount, 90-day returns for non-furniture items, free shipping for orders over $49, a free registry consultant and design tips, and group gifting.

Does The Bump registry offer a welcome box?

Yes! A fun welcome box, filled with an assortment of pre-baby essentials and goodies, is available to all qualified participants. To be eligible, you must have an active membership with The Bump, add at least 10 unique items to your registry, and either make a purchase or be gifted something with $10+ value from your own registry and have it marked as purchased in your registry. There’s a $9.99 shipping fee, which you must pay in full before confirming your shipping details. You must also be at least 18 years old and a US resident. The offer starts on February 2, 2026 and will continue through December 12, 2026 or until supplies last. Please see here for detailed terms.

Why can’t I find my retail partner registry on The Bump?

Once a registry is created with one of our retail partners, it can take up to 48 hours for your registry to appear in our search results. Also, if you create your registry during the first trimester of your pregnancy, we will delay the release of your registry details to protect your privacy until you reach your second trimester (about week 14).

If it’s been more than 48 hours and you’re past Week 14, here are a few ways to troubleshoot:

  • Try the search again. Make sure to use the same name that was used when creating the registry in-store or online.
  • Visit the partner website to confirm the registry is set to “public” or “searchable” on the retailer’s website.
  • Visit The Bump account settings and make sure your first name, last name and due date are all filled out.
  • Use the Manage Registry tool to confirm your sync is active and visible.

What if I don’t want anyone else seeing my registry?

Visit Manage Registry and toggle your visibility to password-protect your registry if you don’t want anyone except friends and family (or yourself) to see it.

How do I share my registry profile with family and friends?

While in your Manage Registry settings, you can copy a link to your baby registry page to easily share your registry with all your friends and family.

Can my family and friends view my registry profile if they’re not members of TheBump.com?

Yes, family and friends can view and purchase items from your registry profile without having an account. Your Bump registry is a simple way for friends and family to quickly access a list of all your registry retailers in one place, using a single link. How’s that for easy?

Will I be able to download a full list of gifts through my registry?

We know you’re working on those thank you notes! That’s why we made it easy on the registry to download one list of gift giver names, emails and notes, along with the product they purchased and the order ID.

How can I return something through my registry?

The returns are done through the individual retailers’ sites and customer service teams.

Who can I contact if I have further questions about my registry?

Please reach out to help@thebump.com if you need help.

Once you locate a product, you’ll see buying options from different stores. When you click on the buying option, you’ll be led to a pop-up with buying instructions, where we display the parents’ address (if they provided it) and instructions on coming back to mark the product as purchased. Once you purchase the product and come back, you’ll click on the “Mark as purchased” checkbox and fill out the information requested.
