- Toddlers like to test boundaries, but don’t allow them to stand in or climb on the booster seat.
- Always check to make sure that your booster is securely attached to its base chair. Crosby notes that booster seats that hook onto the table directly aren’t as safe as those that attach to a chair. If using one of the hook-on styles, ensure that it locks onto the table; the table must also be heavy enough to support the weight of your child.
