Chanel Iman and Patriots' Davon Godchaux’s Baby Girl Has Arrived

Model Chanel Iman and her boyfriend, Davon Godchaux, are officially parents of four!

The elated couple shared the arrival of their youngest daughter on Instagram on September 19. “Capri Summer Godchaux. 09-19-2023,” the two captioned their first photo with their newborn. In the image, Iman cradles their baby in her hospital bed while Dad embraces the two.

Iman and the New England Patriots defensive tackle got engaged earlier this year on the island of Capri, just off the coast of Italy. Their daughter’s name is seemingly a homage to the location of the proposal, as many fans shouted out in the comments of the post.

“Capri Italy (she got engaged), Capri as 1st name aww,” wrote one user. “Aww I got the name instantly,” added another. The Patriots Football team and other celebrities sent their congratulations in the comments.

The power couple first shared their sex reveal video with friends and fans on Instagram on May 15. Ahead of the reveal, the New England Patriots defensive tackle, already a dad to 7-year-old Davon Godchaux II from a previous relationship, confessed that he was hoping it was a girl. Iman, already a mom of two girls, Cassie, 3 and Cali, 4, had her fingers crossed for a boy.

“If it’s a girl, I’m already a girl mom, so should be just another thing!” Iman said. “We’re so excited to be parents. … We are blessed to have a child together and whatever God blesses us with, we are very grateful and happy.”

Once the confetti cannon sounded, pieces of pink paper rained down on the blended family. “Ahh! It’s a girl! A sister, you’re getting a sister! You’re getting a sister," Inman excitedly told her daughter Cassie and Cali. “You got your girl,” Iman joked to Godchaux in the comments. He proudly added, “#GirlDad!”

“I just want to tell my baby I love you, can’t wait to meet you,” Godchaux said, later in the video. “Proud dad already. Can’t wait to see you!”

“And I would like to tell our daughter that I love you so much and I’m just so grateful to be your mother.” Iman added. “You have an amazing father and together we will raise you. … Can’t wait to see you. We are going to raise you to be great!” She later laughed at the camera, “I’m having a girl, guys! A third head to do every morning! I can’t wait to do your hair!”

Godchaux and Iman have been publicly linked since early 2022. Just shortly after their May 3 pregnancy announcement, the pro footballer proposed to Iman in Capri on May 30.
