Patrick and Brittany Mahomes Welcome Baby No. 3

The Mahomes family has struck gold!

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City Current co-owner Brittany Matthews Mahomes have welcomed their third child. The proud parents announced the arrival of their baby girl on January 13, sharing a sweet photo on Instagram of their hands cradling their newborn’s tiny feet with the caption: “Golden Raye Mahomes. 1/12/25.”

Golden Raye’s name continues the Mahomes family’s unique tradition of medal-inspired names. She joins her siblings, 3-year-old Sterling Skye and 2-year-old Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, at the family’s home in Kansas City.

The Mahomeses got together on Saturday, July 20, 2024, to reveal the sex of their new addition. “Baby Mahomes #3 is a…,” the couple captioned a video showing their reveal. For the big moment Patrick, Brittany, Sterling and Bronze all gathered poolside to play a game of “tic tac tell.” As Sterling turned over blue O after pink X soon she had lined up three pink Xs—revealing baby no. 3 to be a girl!

In the comments friends and fans expressed their excitement for the Mahomes family and threw out baby names for inspiration. Going along with the precious metals theme several suggested Rose Gold Mahomes or Ruby Rose Gold Mahomes.

The couple first shared the happy news they’re expecting in a joint Instagram post on July 12, 2024. “Round three, here we come,” Brittany captioned the sweet video of her soon-to-be family of five. In it, Sterling happily waves around with the couple’s sonogram photos, while Bronze is content to dance with mom and dad and roll around on the floor.

The iconic football family will have their hands full with three under 4 as the baby girl Mahomes prepares to make her arrival. The couple welcomed "Patrick ‘Bronze’ Lavon Mahomes III in November of 2022 and older sister Sterling Skye in February 2021. Among a flurry of comments congratulating the couple of baby number three, Patrick’s father chimed in to send his congratulations and share that grandpa “Pat Pat is stocked.”

Patrick and Brittany are high school sweethearts who met while attending Whitehouse High School in Texas. In March 2022, after 10 years of dating the duo said “I do” in a private ceremony held in Maui, Hawaii.
