Cowboys QB Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos Welcome Baby No. 2

Dak Prescott is officially a girl dad times two!

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback and his fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, announced the arrival of their second daughter on Instagram. “Thank You God! Welcome, Aurora Rayne,” the NFL star captioned a heartwarming photo of his growing family. “May 22, 2025. God is Great. I love you @sarahjane and the family we’ve created,” he added.

The name Aurora, of Latin origin meaning “dawn,” evokes the beauty of the aurora borealis. Ranked 52nd among the top 100 names for girls in the US last year, the name has slowly grown in popularity since the early 1990s. Ramos previously revealed that their daughter’s middle name would be Rayne in a nod to Prescott’s own first name.

The couple first broke the news that they were expecting a second child to Sports Illustrated on December 10. Their second daughter comes just over a year after they welcomed their first, Mary Jane, in February 2024. The oldest of three girls Ramos told the outlet that she “can’t wait to raise empowered daughters who grow with and learn from one another,” just like she and her sisters have over the years.

"It’s really special to be a female in this world in this day and age and to watch your siblings grow up and be empowered, taking notes and using you as an example, but [also] being themselves and growing into what makes them their own person,” she said. “It’s so beautiful to watch and I can’t wait to do the same with MJ and watch Dak become a girl dad, part two. He’s perfect. He’s the best girl dad ever.”

Prescott and Ramos introduced their first child, Mary Jane, on March 18. “MJ Rose, Being your parents is the biggest blessing life has to offer and we are so fortunate that you are ours,” the couple shared in a joint post on Instagram. “Welcome into this world, baby girl, you will always be loved and protected! We are so IN LOVE with you. Love, Mom & Dad.”

When asked about his new life as father at a Children’s Cancer Fund event in Dallas back in 2024, Prescott didn’t shy away from sharing how different everything had become. “When you wake up in the morning and you see that baby, you understand responsibilities. And everything that I’ve always wanted for myself, but you want that for somebody else even more,” he added, “Yeah, it’s special.”
