Pro Golfer Jordan Spieth and Wife Annie Welcome Baby No. 3
Jordan Spieth is trading the greens for diaper duty again!
The professional golfer has welcomed his third child with wife Annie Spieth. “We added a new member to the foursome—Sully Spieth! Everyone is doing great,” the Masters champion captioned a sweet photo of the newborn surrounded by big siblings Sammy, 3, Sophie, 22 months and their proud parents.
The couple hasn’t revealed the inspiration behind their newest addition’s name just yet, but it’s clear they’re sticking with their signature S theme. A name of British origin, Sully is believed to be derived from the Old English word saelig, meaning “one who is happy and blessed.”
The Spieths first announced they were expecting a third child this past February during an appearance on The Smylie Show. “We have a third coming in July, so it’s busy,” Spieth shared with NBC Sports’ Smylie Kaufman when asked about his offseason plans.
Family first, Spieth skipped a Ryder Cup scouting trip to be by Annie’s side as they welcomed Sophie in 2023. “Welcome, Sophie 9/12/23,” he captioned a black-and-white photo of himself holding his newborn shortly after her arrival.
Life has been a whirlwind of tournaments and travel for the growing family. Last year, Spieth shared a heartwarming photo from the Masters Tournament’s Par 3 Contest, where the whole family hit the course together in matching caddie outfits. “Our favorite tradition,” he wrote.
High school sweethearts, Spieth and Annie Verret got engaged in 2017 and tied the knot over Thanksgiving in 2018 in Dallas, Texas. Now, as they gear up to become a family of five, there’s no doubt Spieth’s offseason is going to be busier—and sweeter—than ever.
