Singer Cassie Welcomes Her First Baby Boy with Alex Fine

The Fines are now a family of five!

Me & You singer Cassie Ventura-Fine welcomed their third child, a baby boy, on May 27, a source confirmed to NBC News. The 38-year-old gave birth in a New York City hospital, and both mom and baby are reportedly healthy and doing well, despite the little one arriving slightly ahead of schedule.

Ventura’s baby boy arrives after a particularly challenging period for the singer. Just weeks before his birth, she testified while 8½ months pregnant in a federal case involving her former partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs, detailing abuse she says occurred during their years-long relationship.

Amid the emotional toll, Ventura remained focused on the joy ahead. In March Ventura confirmed baby no. 3’s sex in a heartfelt post applauding Fine for his support and sharing her excitement about expanding their family. “There aren’t words to describe how grateful I am that I get to do this life with you! The laughter and pure joy that I get to experience with you is beyond any of my dreams and manifestations,” she wrote. “You’ve taken care of me and my heart like no other, you’re hands down the best girl dad and I’m SO excited to see you now become a father to OUR SON!” Fine and Ventura already share daughters Frankie, 5, and Sunny, 4.

The couple first took to Instagram on February 19 to share the happy news. In a series of black-and-white photos captured by photographer Jorden Keith, Cassie proudly displayed her baby bump alongside Alex, Frankie and Sunny.“🤰🏽💙 #3,” she simply captioned the photo, perhaps hinting at baby no. 3’s sex with a blue heart emoji. Fine also shared the big announcement on his Instagram, captioning the photos, “Best gift I could ask for.”

The couple’s announcement was met with an outpouring of love and congratulations from friends, fans and celebrities like Jessica Alba, Shay Mitchell and Ciara. “Congratulations you beautiful girl. You deserve all the happiness,” wrote influencer Sai De Silva. “Such a blessing,” added Khloe Kardashian. “Love to see women get their happily ever after—especially after going through abuse and trauma. You are deserving of this beautiful life,” wrote one fan. “Thank you for being an example of strength and perseverance. Congrats!”

Cassie and Alex’s love story began in 2018, and they tied the knot in 2019. Their first daughter, Frankie, was born in December 2019, followed by Sunny in March 2021. The couple has been open about their dedication to family, often sharing glimpses of their life together on social media. “There’s literally nothing like spending this life with my 3 best friends. I have to pinch myself every day,” Cassie wrote in a birthday post for Fine. “I love you with the heart, to the moon & back for eternity.”
