Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy Welcome Their Third Child
Golden Globe winner Claire Danes is officially a mom of three.
A representative for the Homeland actress and her husband, Hugh Dancy, confirmed the couple had welcomed a baby girl with People on July 11. The star-studded couple, who married in 2009, are already mom and dad to Cyrus Michael Christopher, 10, and Rowan, 4.
Danes and Dancy first announced their pregnancy news on January 9, just ahead of a busy awards season for Danes. Already a three-time Golden Globe award winner, Danes was nominated as best supporting actress for her role in the Hulu limited series Fleishman is in Trouble. The star plays a struggling divorcée and working mom in the show.
While the 43-year-old actress certainly knows plenty about being a working mom, she also appreciates a break to enjoy this special time. “Pretty soon I get to retire for a little while and just be pregnant, which I look forward to,” she said at a Homeland event in 2018 while pregnant with her son Rowan.
“It feels like a huge luxury,” Danes added. “When I was pregnant with my first son, I worked until I was in my eighth month, so this feels like a huge gift, to have a chance to kick my feet up a little bit.”
