Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe and his longtime partner Erin Darke have welcomed their first child, a representative for the star confirmed with People](https://people.com/parents/daniel-radcliffe-girlfriend-erin-darke-welcome-first-baby/)..) The duo was spotted out in New York City pushing a stroller on March 24 but has yet to confirm any details about their newborn’s birth or release any photos.

Radcliffe and Darke first confirmed they were expecting via a representative in March. The Weird: The Al Yankovic Story actor and Darke first met and started dating 10 years ago on the set of the 2013 movie Kill Your Darlings.

The couple has kept their relationships mostly out of the spotlight and according to a recent interview with Newsweek it would seem they plan to keep their child out of the spotlight as well. In speaking with the outlet in October, Radcliffe said he “wouldn’t want fame for my kid.”

“I want my kids, if and when they exist…I would love them to be around film sets," he told Newsweek. “A dream would be for them to come onto a film set and be like ‘God, you know, I’d love to be in the art department. I’d love to be something in the crew.’ Some part of this, but not from that.”

“I’d also say I love like, yeah I think if you can get a situation where you’re on film sets without necessarily [thinking] oh, this is gonna be a big deal in your life, that’s great.” Radcliffe said “Film sets are wonderful places. I think a lot of the time it can be wonderful for kids. But it’s really the fame side of it that should be avoided at all costs.”

Our best to Radcliffe and Darke on their new addition!
