Shameless Star Emmy Rossum Welcomes Her Second Child
Shameless actress Emmy Rossum and her husband Sam Esmail secretly welcomed their second baby together on April 5.
Rossum had not previously revealed that she was pregnant before sharing the news of her baby boy’s arrival on Instagram on April 6. Sharing a carousel of photos, including her son’s footprints, her baby bump before giving birth and a close-up of her baby boy’s lips, Rossum captioned the photos, “On a foggy Wednesday morning, our son was born.”
While Rossum hasn’t her newborn’s name yet, details from the post reveal that she welcomed her son on April 5 at 10:40 am, weighing in at 6 lbs., 14 oz. and measuring 19.5 inches at birth.
The happy couple’s new addition will have a built-in playmate in the form of a big sister, which Rossum also secretly welcomed almost 2 years ago. Esmail proposed to Rossum in 2015 after two years of dating. The proud parents tied the knot in May 2017 in New York City with a lavish reception hosted at the Guggenheim Museum.
