Bling Empire Star Kelly Mi Li Welcomes Her First Child
Bling Empire star Kelly Mi Li has officially welcomed her daughter with boyfriend William Ma.
The film producer and entrepreneur introduced the world to her new addition April 11 with a post on Instagram. “Happy birthday to our little Easter bunny,” Mi Li captioned the carousel of photos featuring her cradling her baby girl. “After a little over 24 hours of labor, you’re finally here! There’s so much love and kindness you are surrounded by, and so many people for you to meet. Welcome to the world, we can’t wait to show you around!”
According to People Mi Li and Ma welcomed their daughter at Cedars Sinai on Sunday, April 9, shortly after midnight. She weighed 7 lbs., 5 oz. at birth and has been given the name Mili Ma. "Welcome to the world Mili! She’s finally here after being fashionably late to her own due date,” Mi Li said. “William and I are incredibly grateful to have gone through this journey of pregnancy, with the love and support from all of our friends and family, and Dr. Meschter and her staff at Cedars Sinai.”
Kelly Mi Li’s Sex Reveal Party
Mi Li kept her baby’s sex reveal simple with just her and her boyfriend and, of course, her precious fur baby, Sophia, in attendance. For the reveal, Mi Li cut into a row of vanilla cupcakes with blue and pink glitter decorations revealing a pink filling. “We’re having a… girl!” she announces at the end.
Fans, friends and fellow actors like Cassandra Scerbo rushed to the comments to congratulate Mi Li. “A Princess! Congrats beautiful! I’m soooo happy for you.” the Bring it On: In It to Win It actress wrote. “Congratulations! A sweet girl! You’re going to be an amazing mother,” Mia Aghili added.
Kelly Mi Li Announces Her Pregnancy
Mi Li first announced her pregnancy in mid-November. “Well, the mystery to why I’ve been craving sweets and not just spicy food is finally solved! We’re so beyond grateful and excited to be starting this new chapter in our lives,” Mi Li captioned a joyful photo of her holding her pregnancy test.
While Mi Li says getting pregnant was already a part of her and her boyfriend’s plan, the news still came as a surprise. “When we found out, it was actually kind of shocking. He lives in San Francisco, I live in L.A., so when my period didn’t come, the monthly visit didn’t come. So we went and got Clearblue, the pregnancy test,” Mi Li told People.
“We talked about having kids earlier, but we were going to start trying [at] the end of the year. So we actually bought a bunch of Clearblue ovulation tests before so I would start getting used to using it, but we just really didn’t think it was going to happen so fast,” she explained.
Friends, fans and fellow actors rushed to the comments to congratulate Mi Li on her happy news. Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause commented, “Omg!! Congrats!!,” while Top Gun actor Kara Wang added, “I AM SOBBING. Omg, your mom is thrilled. Every Chinese mom is thrilled.”
The second part of Mi Li’s post features a video of the 37-year-old telling her mother she was expecting. “PS: If you watch #BlingEmpire, then you know how much my mom wants to be a grandma,” she added to the post.
During season 3 of Bling Empire, Mi Li was famously on a quest for love, dating throughout the season before finding “the love of her life.”
“My boyfriend is amazing. I literally cannot ask for a better partner in this. And obviously, I’ve to show off about him any chance I get. But he’s honestly so supportive, so amazing and I honestly, he’s going to be such a great dad and obviously my mom, my grandma, are going to be able to help me out a little bit more as well,” Mi Li told People. “And I have really great friends around me so I’m just very thankful for this journey.”
