Bachelor Alum Sarah Herron Is Expecting Rainbow Twin Girls
Bachelor alum Sarah Herron is expecting rainbow twins!
The season 17 Bachelor favorite and her husband, Dylan Brown, are expecting after a long IVF journey and the devastating loss of their son Oliver in January 2023. Herron shared the exciting news and the sex of her twins on her Instagram Story this week.
“Appointment today went well, the babies are growing on track! Next appointment in 3 weeks. The babies look so round and chubs! Little Rolly pollies,” she shared alongside an ultrasound photo. The Bachelor in Paradise star said she initially thought that she had triplets on the way during her first ultrasound.
“What’s really crazy that I haven’t talked about yet, is that when I went in for 1st ultrasound, there were actually 3 gestational sacs. Yes, that means baby A tried to split and become identical twins, but a yolk and fetal pole never developed. SOOO … this means for about 15 seconds I had a heart attack that there were going to be triplets,” she wrote.
While excited about her new additions, Herron has been open about grieving the loss of her son Oliver, who was born at 24 weeks and passed away shortly after. “Just bawled my eyes out in therapy. My grief for Oliver is heavy right now as his heavenly birthday is 12 days away,” she wrote. “It hurts so bad, and simultaneously, I know he’s sending me these little girls to comfort me right now.”
Instagram followers were quick to pick up on her mention of girls and excitedly congratulated Herron as she admitted she accidentally let the sex slip. “Oops. Cat’s outta the bag. But yes, we knew the sex of all our embryos,” she admitted.
Herron and Brown have been open with followers and fans as they’ve navigated a difficult IVF journey. From preparations to loss, embryo transfer and more, it’s exciting to see the two celebrating new beginnings. Herron recently shared a post to her feed featuring her swimming peacefully with her rainbow babies in tow. “Oliver has two turtles to watch over,” the post simply read.
