NFL Linebacker Shaquil Barrett and Wife Jordanna Welcome Baby Girl

Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Shaquil Barrett and his wife Jordanna have welcomed a baby girl!

The nonprofit founder and NFL star shared the news on February 4. “We welcomed Our sweet Allanah Ray, our heart is so full! 2•3•24 we love you so much already babygirl,” Jordanna wrote. In the series of photos, the couple’s newborn is swaddled in comfort and dons an array of adorable hats and headbands.

Celebrities, fans and fellow NFL community members sent their congratulations. “Soooo happy for yall! She’s perfect,” wrote expectant mom and NFL wife Emily Mayfield. “So happy for you guys. Definitely hand picked by her big sis in heaven. She is gorgeous,” added photographer Gisel Perez.

Allanah Ray’s arrival comes nine months after the couple lost their 2-year-old daughter Arrayah, in April 2023 after she accidentally drowned in a pool at the family’s home. The Barrett’s first announced they were expecting in July 2023. “A few weeks after our sweet girls heaven day, Shaquil and I found out we were expecting,” Jordanna captioned a photo featuring her positive pregnancy test and pink tulips.

“I just know Arrayah had a special hand in picking this sweet girl to add to our family! We are so beyond blessed, so beyond grateful that God chose to give us another little girl,” she added. “We miss our Arrayah every second of every day, but I rest in knowing she’s going to be the best big sister angel to little miss Allanah!”

The Barretts are also the proud parents of three other children, including sons Braylon, 10, and Shaquil Jr., 11, as well as daughter Aaliyah, 8. Shaquil and Jordanna have been married for 12 years and recently celebrated their anniversary on Allanah’s birthday!
