Bachelorette Favorite Shawn Booth Welcomes First Baby With Dre Joseph

Season 11 Bachelorette winner Shawn Booth is officially a dad!

The reality TV personality shared the happy news on his Instagram story on December 14. “ “Baby Booth arrived yesterday and is healthy & perfect,” he captioned the photo of his newborn’s feet. “Mom is an absolute rockstar & did incredible!” he said of girlfriend Dre Joseph.

Booth, who proposed to season 11 Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe in 2015. After a three-year relationship, the Bachelor Nation duo called it quits and went their separate ways. While Booth has been quiet about his relationships since he revealed earlier, in July, he shared on his podcast that he had a girlfriend and the two were expecting.

“If you know me at all, you know I have always wanted to be a dad [and] becoming a first-time dad fulfills that lifelong dream,” Booth told People of the exciting news back in July. “As I prepare to embrace this new chapter, I’m filled with profound gratitude and eagerness to cherish and nurture this precious life.”

“I’ve waited for this moment my whole life and now I’m ready to embark on the most beautiful adventure of fatherhood. I feel so lucky to have Dre by my side as the mother of my child. I stand in awe of her strength and kindness,” he noted. “She is a very loving and resilient woman and with her by our child’s side, I know they’ll be guided by a force of nature [that’s] nurtured by a heart of compassion. Our kid is already incredibly lucky to have her as a mom.”

Dre Joseph shared the announcement with friends and fans on July 24 with a fun summer-themed photoshoot. “Turns out that sex is still the #1 leading cause of pregnancy … BABY BOOTH COMING IN DECEMBER. We couldn’t be more excited,” she captioned the photo.
