Gil Solano took a selfie with his wife, Sarah, as she was in the middle of delivering their baby. And he lived to tell the tale.

In fact, Solano says it was his wife’s idea.

“My wife wanted to make sure that someone took a picture of the expression on our faces when our daughter was born today. So I took one,” he writes on Reddit, where the photo was shared.

Other Reddit users were certain this was a terrible idea.

“So, you must have a comfortable couch, huh?”

“Congrats on missing your child’s birth for Internet points.”

“Wow… You managed to document the exact moment that your wife knew she wanted to divorce you!”

But Solano proved them all wrong, adding it made her laugh in the middle of labor.

“I actually took this pic to send to her brothers who kept asking how it was going. I showed it to her in between pushes and she cracked up. Now I’m reading her all of you guys comments while she feeds our healthy 7 lb,. 6 oz. girl,” he writes.

We applaud Sarah for her awesome reaction.  What do you think; would you feel the same way?
