Kaley Cuoco Welcomes Baby Girl With Tom Pelphrey

Kaley Cuoco and her partner, Tommy Pelphrey, have welcomed a baby girl!

The Flight Attendant actress announced the birth of her first child on Instagram March 30. “Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle,” Cuoco captioned the first photos of her little one.

Matilda is the Anglicized form of the Germanic feminine title Mahthildis and means “mighty in battle.” The name gained rapid popularity in the early 90s after Roald Dahl’s fearless, bookish character was brought to life in the 1998 movie Matilda.

Cuoco also took time in her post to thank the doctors, nurses, family and friends who helped her and Pelphrey in the days leading up to their first child’s birth. “We are blessed beyond belief. @tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you, but I did,” she added.

The Meet Cute actress initially shared her pregnancy news in a Instagram post with both mom-and-dad to be holding up a slice of pink cake in celebration of their new baby girl. “Baby girl Pelphrey coming 2023. Beyond blessed and over the moon… I [love] you, @tommypelphrey,” Cuoco captioned the post.

Other photos in the carousel feature intimate photos of Cuoco and Pelphrey celebrating their positive pregnancy test, holding up adorable onesies for baby-to-be and posing with Cuoco’s growing bump.

Proud father-to-be and Ozark actor, Pelphrey posted the good news to his Instagram feed as well, featuring photos of the happy couple drinking out of papa bear and mama bear coffee mugs and smiling ear-to-ear. “And then it was even MORE BETTER. Love you more than ever @kaleycuoco,” Pelphrey captioned the post.

Friends, fans and fellow actors rushed to the comments to congratulate Pelphrey and the Big Bang Theory star. Cuoco’s Charmed co-star Alyssa Milano commented, “You are going to be the best mama ever. Text me if you need anything. Love you so much,” with Hilary Duff adding in a “Yesss,” and new grandma, Sharon Stone, adding “Well congratulations! It’s wonderful to see you happy pants.”

Both Emmy-nominated actors, Cuoco and Pelphrey, met in April 2022 at the premiere of Ozark’s last season. “When I met Tom, it was absolutely love at first sight,” Cuoco told Extra. “We have the same management team," she revealed. "My manager actually took me as her guest to the ‘Ozark’ premiere, and I met him there. It was like the angels started singing. I was like, ‘Hallelujah!’ It was very magical… it was perfect.”
