The Secret Behind Jasmine Tookes' Glowing Bump at The VS Fashion Show
When your toes are out of sight, and stretch marks and swollen ankles come into full force during the third trimester, it’s not always easy to feel beautiful or sexy. But even at those peak “get this baby out of me” moments, model Jasmine Tookes is proving that pregnancy is still a thing of beauty.
The 34-year-old Brunel beauty co-founder and soon-to-be mom of two made history this week when she opened the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show at 9 months pregnant. Tookes floated down the runway in a pearl-lined, netted one-piece and ornate gold wings, her glowing bump on full display. The audience erupted in cheers as she closed her walk with a smile and a hand resting proudly on her belly.
By the end of the show, fans across the globe were in awe not only of her confidence, but also her ability to walk the runway in heels while just days from giving birth. And the question on the minds of moms-to-be everywhere—how did she get that glowing bump?
Shortly after her debut, Tookes revealed that makeup legend Pat McGrath prepped her bump with Brunel’s own Golden Hour Glow Body Oil. The oil, which she tested out at last year’s fashion show, instantly became a behind-the-scences favorite and was officially launched this May to acclaim. The fast-absorbing, antioxidant-rich formula is safe to use not just on your bump but all over your body.
“Opening the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show the same year Brunel launched is a dream come true,” she said. “As a model, I know that you’re never truly ready without a body glow. Walking the runway head-to-toe in Brunel—the glow, the scent, the feel—it’s confidence in a bottle.”
Tookes, who already shares 2-year-old Mia Victoria with husband Juan David Borrero, is expecting her first son any day now. She first shared her pregnancy news in July, posting a dreamy set of maternity photos captured outdoors in a flowing white gown. “Another little soul to love 🤎 @juandavidborrero,” she captioned the series, which quickly filled with love from friends and fellow models, including Naomi Campbell and Lily Aldridge.
Not feeling runway-ready in your own third trimester? That’s totally okay. Every body (and every bump) looks different—and rest is just as powerful as a strut. Take a moment for yourself with a few quick self-care rituals that’ll help you refresh, reset and remember that you’re already glowing in your own right.
