Rupert Grint, the Harry Potter star better known as Ron Weasely, is going to be a dad!
The 31-year-old actor is expecting his first child with partner and fellow actress Georgia Groome. He is the first of the three lead actors of the franchise to become a parent. His rep confirmed the pregnancy in a statement to E! News, which read, "Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are excited to announce they are expecting a baby and would please ask for privacy at this time.”
Two years ago, in 2018, during an interview with The Guardian, he mentioned wanting to settle down and have kids soon. When asked, should he have a son, if he would name him Ron, the actor replied, “It’s quite a good name, but probably not. And Grint’s a tough name to pair a one-syllable first name with."
