Real Housewives Alum Monica Garcia Shares Heartbreaking Miscarriage

Former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City breakout star Monica Garcia is opening up about her recent pregnancy loss.

The 39-year-old entrepreneur and mom of four shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram April 28. “One thing I promised myself when opening my life up to all of you was that I was going to do it completely unapologetically and authentically raw as possible. I would show you my life in all aspects because that is what I agreed to do. Unfortunately, today I need to share a very heartbreaking aspect,” she captioned a black-and-white images of her and boyfriend Braxton Knight at the hospital. "‘There is no heartbeat’ I don’t have many words and I’m still processing all of this myself.

“As quickly as this happened, that’s how quickly things have changed,” Garcia said referring to the whirlwind surprise of her fifth pregnancy. “I am sending so much love to everyone dealing with miscarriages, fertility issues, pregnancy problems, if you have an angel baby, and everything in-between. I am so grateful for my incredible doctors and amazing support system. I am so blessed to have all of you in my corner and I appreciate how beautiful you all have been to me about this baby. I love you and I’m so thankful for you.”

Friends, fans and the many women who had also struggled with loss and fertility sent their support to Garcia in the comments. “I’m so sorry to hear Monica. Sending you love and prayers,” wrote former Bachelor star Nick Viall. The podcast host was the first to break Garcia’s big baby news on a special episode of The Viall Files. “There is nothing harder to hear than those words, I heard them at 38 weeks and I am still devastated,” wrote one fan. “Hugs Mama! Excruciating. Feel all the feelings, cry all the tears, allow yourself to heal physically and emotionally. My most sincerest condolences,” added another. Bravo celebrities from Dolores Catania to Tamra Judge and Mia Thornton sent their sympathy and love.

The founder and creator of Brea Baby shares four girls, Bri, 18, Jaidyn, 13, West, 7, and Kendall, 6, with her ex-husband Mike Fowler. Garcia finalized her divorce in October 2023 and recently confirmed that she would not be returning for season 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
