Sanya Richards-Ross and Her Husband Aaron Are Expecting Baby No. 2
Four-time Olympic gold medalist Sanya Richards-Ross is pregnant again!
The reality TV star revealed the exciting news in the mid-season trailer for season 15 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. In the video, Richards-Ross casually hands her husband, Aaron Ross, a positive pregnancy test. After taking a closer look, the former NFL cornerback exclaimed, “No way! This is real?” to which Richards-Ross nodded, jumping up and down, cheering, “I’m pregnant!” while embracing everyone in the room.
The Rosses welcomed their first child, Aaron Jermaine, into the family on August 12, 2017 and chose to wait a while before trying for baby number two. In a recent interview with The Bump Richards-Ross talked about her time with The Real Housewives of Atlanta and the response from fans after opening up about not wanting another baby at first due to the overwhelming workload she experienced the first time around.
“I shared my story of struggling to want to have another child, and I was pleasantly surprised by the response from women all around the world who reached out and shared how they appreciated me talking about this. And it’s a hard thing to talk about. It feels like a very selfish thing, but it’s not. I think it’s very mature to know what your capacity is and to be brave enough to stand in that truth,” she shared.
The founder of the nonprofit community MommiNation, Richards-Ross continued on to say that she and her husband were trying for a second baby in February of 2023 as she felt she was “in a much better place and our family is in a great place.” She also happily noted that cast members and fans were “so supportive of my journey—like they want me to be pregnant more than I want to be pregnant. I just love that because that’s what real sisterhood is all about.”
We can’t wait to follow along Richards-Ross’ pregnancy journey as she prepares to welcome baby number two! Stay tuned for all the excitement!
