Jesse McCartney and Katie Peterson Are Expecting First Child Together

Jesse McCartney sang his way into the hearts of early 2000s teens 21 years ago, and now he’s preparing to welcome his own Beautiful Soul into the world.

The pop sensation and his wife, actress Katie Peterson, shared their exciting news on Valentine’s Day. “Our lil Valentine arriving 8/8. xo, JK,” the couple captioned a romantic photoshoot, where they posed in matching “Mom” and “Dad” pajamas, surrounded by rose petals and holding their sonogram. The final slide in the heartwarming carousel hinted at their baby’s potential name, with a heart displaying “Baby Mac” and “August 2025.”

Friends and fans flooded the comments with love and excitement for the soon-to-be parents. “The guy I’ve loved since I was five years old is having a kid of his own now?” one millennial joked. Awkward actress (and Kelsey Grammer’s daughter) Greer Grammer added, “I’M CRYING ALL OVER AGAIN. Can’t wait to meet Baby Mac!” She’s The Man actor Jonathan Sadowski quipped, “An heir to the throne,” while Jesse’s brother Tim McCartney sweetly declared, “Uncle Tim is ready.” Another fan couldn’t help but reference one of McCartney’s own tracks, writing, “Playing ‘Make A Baby’ in my head on repeat now.”

McCartney and Peterson’s love story began in 2012 when they met at a bar where McCartney was for a birthday party and Peterson was bartending. After seven years of dating, the two got engaged and tied the knot in 2021.

Most recently, McCartney has been soaking up the success of his All’s Well Tour, taking a moment to thank his fans, crew, and, of course, Peterson for their unwavering support. “This year was only possible because of you! I can’t believe we’re nearing the end of the All’s Well Tour. 29 SOLD-OUT shows! That’s insane to me," he shared on Instagram. “It’s been just over 20 years since I started this journey, and it blows my mind that there are still high-water marks being reached.”
