Kelsey Grammer Set to Welcome Baby No. 8 at 70

Kelsey Grammer hasn’t had his last act.

The 70-year-old Frasier star and his wife, Kayte Walsh, are expecting their fourth child together—and Grammer’s eighth overall. People broke the news after the actor was photographed in London, strolling through a park with Walsh, whose baby bump was visible in a long black dress.

Grammer and Walsh share three children: Faith, 12, Gabriel, 10, and James, 8. The producer also shares Spencer, 41, with his first wife, Doreen Alderman; Greer, 33, with ex Barrie Buckner; and Mason, 23, and Jude, 20, with ex Camille Grammer.

Earlier this year, Grammer opened up about being a father of seven. He admitted that having three younger children has led him to “play catch-up” with some of his older kids.“I have neglected a couple of the kids in my life, especially the first two,” he told People. “I’m trying to make up for a little of it now. I’m still their dad, so you can always have a chance to show up.”

Like any parent, Grammer has also learned and changed his style over the years. “I probably should have been a little more clear and maybe less tolerant with the older ones,” he said. “I’m pretty tolerant with the young ones, but I’m clear about how there’s certain expectations and certain ways to navigate through a social situation: keep it close to the vest and play it straight, and you’re going to be well-served in your life. I’m a little more specific with them about doing their studies and being prepared. I tell them, ‘What’s your job in life? Showing up.’”
