Charlie Puth and Brooke Puth Are Expecting Their First Baby Together

Charlie Puth is going to be a dad!

The Marvin Gaye singer and his wife, Brooke, confirmed they’re expecting their first child together on October 22. “Mom and dad,” the couple captioned intimate photos of their life as they prepare for parenthood. From brushing their teeth with Brooke’s bump on display to ultrasound clips and nursery prep featuring a baby piano and crib, the post offers a glimpse into their sweet nesting phase.

Fans, family and fellow celebrities quickly filled the comments with well wishes. “Auntie K is READY,” pop icon Katy Perry wrote. “Omg that kid is probably mixing beats in the womb,” joked content creator Dalton Smiley. “Bro’s gonna make a song out of his kid’s heartbeat,” another commenter added. Fellow stars like Sofia Richie Grainge and Laufey also shared their congratulations.

Puth first shared the news publicly on the October 21 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “I’m gonna be a dad,” he told Fallon. “I was told not to reveal the gender… but I hope baby likes music because it’s the only thing I’m good at.”

Puth, who was exposed to music before he left the womb, plans to inspire the same love with his child. “My mom used to put headphones—big ’90s headphones—on her tummy,” he said. “I think I listened to James Taylor and Luther Vandross, so I got a wide range of music. I’ll do the same thing, whether Brooke likes it or not.”

Charlie and Brooke, who grew up in the same hometown, began dating in 2022 and tied the knot in September 2024. In his recent single Changes, Puth hinted at exciting news ahead, sharing a music video featuring Brooke and calling it “the perfect way to bring all of you into the most beautiful, colorful part of my life—which happens to be right now.
