Succession's Kieran Culkin and Jazz Charton Are Expecting Baby No. 3
Kieran Culkin may have an Oscar and an Emmy on his shelf, but there’s no title he loves more than Dad.
The Succession actor and his wife, Jazz Charton, revealed they’re expecting their third child on September 28. The couple stepped out for the opening night of the Broadway show Waiting for Godot in New York City, with Charton’s baby bump on display in a form-fitting beige dress. On the red carpet, Culkin happily rested his hand on her growing belly.
Shortly after, Charton confirmed the news on Instagram with her trademark humor. “Saw Keanu Reeves on Broadway and now I’m 9 months pregnant,” she wrote alongside a photos of her at the Broadway premiere. “This is very on brand for me. I made a deal with this baby to let me make it to this before labor, not sure what it wants in return but I’m CLEARLY a woman of my word.”
The announcement comes just over a year after Culkin—one of seven siblings himself—made headlines for his cheeky acceptance speech at the Oscars. “About a year ago, I was on a stage like this and I very stupidly, publicly said that I want a third kid from her, because she said if I won the award, she would give me the kid,” he joked, referencing his previous Emmy speech after winning Best Lead Actor for Succession. “Turns out, she said that because she didn’t think I was going to win.”
"She said, ‘I will give you four when you win an Oscar,’ he added with a smile. "No pressure. I love you. I’m really sorry I did this again. And let’s get cracking on those kids. What do you say?”
Culkin and Charton are already parents to daughter Kinsey Sioux, 6, and son Wilder Wolf, 4. In an interview last year, Culkin admitted that even his hardest parenting days are the best of his life, and that the thought of his kids growing up devastated him. To maximize time together, he makes sure never to be away from home for more than eight days. “I’m not good at being separated from my family,” he told The Guardian. “I’m very much terrible at it.”
