Zawe Ashton and Tom Hiddleston Are Expecting Baby No. 2

Star-studded couple Zawe Ashton and Tom Hiddleston have another little one on the way!

The Broadway actress and the Loki actor shared the exciting news with Vogue ahead of a big red carpet reveal at SXSW. The soon-to-be mom of two teamed up with designer and friend Emilia Wickstead on a jaw-dropping look. To reveal her growing baby bump, the 40-year-old British actress wore a sleeveless sky-blue silk crepe gown with frill details, paired with a matching cape.

“Dressing Zawe is always a joy, but this moment feels especially meaningful and full circle,” Wickstead told the outlet. “Zawe wore a soft pink gown from us during her last pregnancy—quietly glowing, with a little secret only she knew. Now, to celebrate her second in this beautiful blue from our pre-fall collection, and to share it with the world, feels like a sweet continuation of that story.” Some suspect the switch in color might be a subtle hint that Ashton and Hiddleston are expecting a boy this time around.

The 44-year-old Marvel franchise star and his now-wife quietly welcomed their first child in October 2022. “Tom and Zawe are loving being new parents and are filled with joy,” a source told Us Weekly. “They have been having the struggles of new parents and aren’t sleeping much but are thrilled.”

Ashton debuted her firt baby bump at the premiere of her latest film Mr. Malcolm’s List in June 2022. For her debut, she wore an off-the-shoulder Sabina Bilenko Couture gown with a beaded bodice and light beige tulle, per Vogue, which once again confirmed the couple’s pregnancy in a special behind-the-scenes piece on how the actress got ready for the event.

An extremely private pair, The Avengers villain and Ashton have shared little about their now 2-year-old since welcoming the child in October 2022. In a rare moment in November 2023, Hiddleston opened up about parenthood on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “I think I probably knew it would, but I could never have imagined how deeply it would until it happened,” he said reflecting on how parenting had changed him. "And yeah, it’s before and after.”

The couple met in 2019 while working on the Broadway play Betrayal together and made their first red carpet appearance together at the 2021 Tony Awards.
