Prepping for a newborn takes work! From choosing bottles to building changing tables, it’s hard to stock up on everything that is needed for taking care of a newborn. The Bumpies on the August 2014 Board in the The Bump Community share their tips on all of their newborn must haves:
“I love the Lansinhoh Soothies gel pads. They were a real life-saver, seriously.” – PunkieNight
“Swaddling blankets or actual swaddlers and the Happiest Baby on the Block DVD. Saved my life around week 4.” – JoShan1719
“The hospital should supply you with all those wonderful things. Mesh undies, witch hazel pads, diapers, wipes…I was about to leave all of it and the nurse insisted we take it. I am so glad I did” – rockyrollgirl
“Earth mama angel baby nipple butter. I put it on every night after I showered while I was pregnant and used it after I fed my daughter. I swear its why I never had any pain breast feeding. I highly recommend it.” – schnookee
“Zippered sleep sacks saved my life.” – bcbuzzafsu
“DH got me a Kindle shortly after DS1 was born and it was a lifesaver with a kid who wouldn’t sleep anywhere but on me. One can only watch so much tv” – flip_flops
“For baby: diapers/wipes, onesies/sleepers, formula/breastmilk, bottles, car seat, place to sleep, waterproof pads. For you: Food, food and more food” – rockyrollgirl
“I love Coconut Oil. We use it in place of diaper cream, nipple cream, for craddle cap, lotion, everything. It’s antibacterial and is good for you without all the chemicals and crap.” - gonzol
