Mad Men Actress Elisabeth Moss Is Pregnant With Her First Child

Elisabeth Moss has a baby on the way!

The Handmaid’s Tale lead debuted her bump on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on January 30. “Are you pregnant or just an incredibly committed method actor?” host Jimmy Kimmel asked Moss to begin their interview. “A little bit of both,” she cheekily replied.

Moss’ first child, the Mad Men star, noted that so far her pregnancy had been “not bad,” noting she’s been “incredibly lucky” and that “It’s been going really well.” Generally tight-lipped when it comes to personal matters, the 41-year-old actress has yet to disclose who the potential father may be or when baby is due.

A father of four, Kimmel was happy to share his best advice with Moss.”My wife got great advice from Bill Murray when she was pregnant,” Kimmel said. “He said, ‘bring Christmas lights to hang or beads of some kind, a night light, bring music—which everybody tells you—bring candles… battery-powered candles.”

“He’s so romantic at the hospital,” Moss added jokingly. “He’s right, though, because the lighting is terrible in the room,” Kimmel said. “It’s Walmart-style lighting for this blessed event that’s going to happen and you don’t want that.”

This isn’t the first time Moss has gone on the record about having kids. In 2022, she opened up about her desire to have a child. “I definitely want to have kids because I’ve been very inspired by the kind of mother my mom is,” she shared with You magazine. “She did a beautiful thing with me.”
