Ashley Tisdale Welcomes Baby Girl and Gives Her This Lucky Middle Name

The High School Musical squad has officially welcomed another wildcat baby!

Ashley Tisdale announced the arrival of her second child with her husband, Christopher French, on September 8. “Emerson Clover French, all three of us are obsessed with you. She landed 9.6.24,” Tisdale captioned a black and white photo of her, French and 3-year-old Jupiter grasping baby Emerson’s hands.

After going through quite the list of names, Tisdale set her sights on an equally strong and sweet name for her daughter. Emerson, a gender-neutral name with German origins, typically means “brave” and “powerful.” Paired with the middle name Clover, a symbol of good luck, there’s sure to be nothing this little one can’t tackle!

Celebrity moms from fellow Disney star Hilary Duff to Mandy Moore and Amanda Kloots sent their congratulations and love to Tisdale as she enters those precious and difficult first few weeks with baby. “Thanks for bringing this beautiful creature into the world and our family @ashleytisdale you’re a superhero I love you so much,” added French.

The Frenshe brand founder first announced that she was expecting her second child on Instagram on March 26. “We can’t wait to meet you,” she captioned the images of her surrounded by lemon trees, wearing blue jeans and a white button-up top, unbuttoned to reveal her bump. French joined in for a photo and so did Jupiter.

On TikTok, Tisdale opened up more about her decision to have another baby and her excitement despite the struggles of her first pregnancy. “After I had Jupiter, I was like, ‘I’m not doing this again.’ I think it was like, physically really hard on me,” Tisdale said in the video. “It was just like, not for me the most amazing experience.”

“I think I started to think about it in that way, that like what a blessing it is to be able to have this cute little baby come into the world,” she continued. “When I think about it, do I see Ju-Ju as like, an only child?”

Tisdale went on to note that Jupiter is a sensitive soul that loves making friends and being around other kids. “Definitely there was something in me that was like, I feel like there’s another little sibling for her. So we started to seriously talk about it,” she said. “[We] both were just like, we feel like there should be a little sibling for her. Definitely kind of like surrendered to the whole thing and just put it out there. And turns out—I AM PREGNANT,” she shared.

“I’m excited and Jupiter’s excited. She keeps telling everybody the big news, that she’s going to be a big sister," Tisdale said. The announcement comes just three days after the soon-to-be big sister celebrated her third birthday. Tisdale posted a sweet dedication to her darling daughter on her birthday. “And just like that… she’s 3!!! Jupiter Iris is my dream girl. I’m so proud of this sassy, funny, sweet, kind, Taylor Swift-obsessed, princess-dress-loving lady. You are my everything,” she captioned a video of Jupiter singing along to the Eras Tour along with several other shots.
