Cardi B Welcomes Her Second Baby Girl and Third Child

Cardi B is officially a mom of three!

The “Up” rapper celebrated the arrival of her baby girl with an Instagram post on September 12. “The prettiest lil thing. 9/7/24,” she captioned a photo of herself cradling her newborn in a hospital bed. Other posts from the carousel show Cardi B breastfeeding, and her 6-year-old daughter, Kulture, holding her baby sister while her 2-year-old son, Wave, looks on. Her estranged husband, former Migos rapper Offset, is also pictured holding the baby in several photos, despite the couple’s pending divorce.

Fans, friends and celebrities sent their congratulations to the new mom of three in the comments. “Congrats mamas,” wrote Olympian Simone Biles. “Congrats queen,” added DJ Snake. “Congrats! Giving birth & still giving looks…,” wrote another fan.

Cardi B first announced she was expecting in August, just hours after filing for divorce from Offset and requesting primary custody of all three children. “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you; you have brought me more love, more life, and most of all, renewed my power! You’ve reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion,” she captioned photos of herself in a red gown with her bump on display.

“I love you so much and cannot wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns, and tests lying down, but you, your brother, and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through,” she added.

Cardi B and Offset have experienced plenty of ups and downs since tying the knot in September 2017. The two first announced the end of their relationship in 2018, filed for divorce in September 2020 but later reconciled, and most recently filed for divorce again on July 31, 2024.

In a 2020 interview with ELLE, she addressed her on-again-off-again relationship, saying, “I do know that my relationship has a lot of drama and everything. But there’s a lot of love there’s a lot of passion, there’s a lot of trust, there’s a big friendship. It’s always us against the world.”
