Meghan Trainor's New #IAmYourMother Anthem Is Going Viral
Meghan Trainor may be 22 weeks pregnant but that isn’t slowing her down when it comes to conquering the music world. Trainor’s preview of her new song Mother just dropped and it has already garnered over 16 million views—making it the latest Spring anthem for moms everywhere!
In an adorable TikTok featuring her husband Daryl Sabara and son Riley, the pop star dances along to the incredibly catchy tune sampled from Mr. Sandman, singing, “I am your mother. You listen to me. Stop all that mansplaining, no one’s listening. Tell me who gave you permission to speak. I am your mother listen to me.”
Above the video, Trainor humorously added the caption, “Trying to tell my unborn kid to stop waking me up with kicks all night.”

Meghan Trainor Announces She’s Expecting
The Made You Look singer first revealed that she was having another baby on January 30 on a morning segment of TODAY with a sonogram photo pasted on the inside of her upcoming book, Dear Future Mama. “We’re pregnant!” Trainor excitedly screamed as host Kathy Hoda opened the book. “We did it!”
The songwriter, who already shares baby boy Riley with her husband Daryl Sabara, told the TODAY team that while she knows the gender of baby No. 2, the couple is waiting to share the news with friends and fans at a later date.
Trainor initially teased her pregnancy announcement with a video posted to Instagram featuring her friends and family reacting to “the secret I’ve been keeping for the past few months.” From screams to tears, Trainor’s support group looked thrilled with the news.
Alongside her announcement, Trainor, who has been open about her prenatal mental health struggles during her first pregnancy, shared more about her new book Dear Future Mamma which is set to be released on April 25.
“When I was pregnant, I felt very alone,” Trainor shared of her first pregnancy. “It was also Covid times so I didn’t have any friends that were pregnant with me, and I just remember being like, I don’t want anyone else to feel like that. So now I can be your future bestie and I can help you and tell you all my TMI details of my pregnancy and how crazy it was.”
